PITCHING INSTRUCTOR / BULLDOGS 15-18U TEAM PITCHING COORDINATOR

Bio

Brian joined Powerhouse Training after graduating from Springfield College. He previously served as the pitching coach at Western New England University. Before Powerhouse, he gave baseball lessons at Diamondkings Baseball & Softball Academy.

As a player, Brian was a two-time NEWMAC All-Conference player and posted a career 3.12 ERA over 4 years while striking out 167 batters in 164.2 innings for a career K/9 of 9.13. Over his four years, he continued to improve each year to become one of the best pitchers in the conference and the New England region. He is the only student-athlete in the Springfield College baseball program’s Division III history to throw multiple no-hitters in a career, doing so once his sophomore year and again his senior year. Brian experienced incredible improvements following the summer going into his senior year as he improved his velocity tremendously. He utilized a new strength and conditioning program and combined it with a weighted ball program. With hard work and consistency, Brian increased his max velocity from 87 to 94 going into his senior year. This attracted MLB scouts to him, and he threw for half a dozen scouts before graduating. With this new velocity, Brian posted a 2.73 ERA in 52.2 innings with 61 strikeouts.

Brian also had the opportunity to play in multiple prestigious summer collegiate baseball leagues. In the summer of his sophomore year, he played in the NECBL for the Danbury Westerners which as a league has sent nearly 150 alumni to the Major Leagues and has had nearly 100 alumni drafted in each of the last 10 MLB Drafts. Brian then went on to play for the
Pittsfield Suns of the FCBL in the summer going into his senior year where he posted a 2.83 ERA in 41.1 innings with 38 strikeouts.

Brian is now turning his hard work and dedication to the game of baseball and is giving back to allow others to discover their full potential. Along with being a college pitching coach, he is also Driveline Coaching Certified and is excited to incorporate weighted balls to help others unlock their velocity potential.
